Smells like freshly brewed coffee!
Coffee is the most popular drink worldwide with over 400 billion cups consumed each year. That makes for a lot of byproduct and waste, which is now being put to good use in coffee-based Wound Up 3D printing filament.
Wound Up uses recycled coffee grains to produce prints in a rich brown color with a natural grain finish. It also emits the aroma of a sweet syrupy latte while printing.
WoundUp is available in 500g spools and manufactured in Fargo, North Dakota by 3DomFuel, a clean tech company committed to producing sustainable filaments for 3D printing.
"3D printing is exciting but most printers use plastics to work. If most homes and schools in the world get a 3D printer, imagine the demand for more plastic and how it can damage the planet. This potentially damaging future has brought concern and eventually answers like the Wound Up filaments." (PSFK)
